June 24

We started our trip to the Indiana Dunes with a visit to the
Pinhook Bog.

This bog has been around for 14,000 years.  There is a clay bottom to the bog.
The only water that comes in is from rain.  The only water that comes out is
by evaporation.

The result, is soft, mushy peat moss, that is spongy when you step.
