Little Lady on the Serrenghetti Plain.

Aunt J and Grandma and Grandpa watched her last game
of the year.

The team had a great game.

Little Lady scored her first goal of the year!  She was so excited!
After the goal, she was five feet off the ground!

Mom, unfortunately, was at Girl Scout leader training and missed it…

I finally had a halfway decent experience with my dutch oven.

This cherry cobbler turned out pretty good.  I had to cook it almost
twice as long as the recipe said, and it was still a little goey on the bottom.

But Mom liked it.

Grandpa and Grandma came up for a visit.  Grandpa recently turned 70 years old, so we
took him out to dinner.

He got a Texas Roadhouse “Yeeeeee ha”.

This was the last pack meeting of the year.  It was actually fun for a change.

The boys played a massive game of dodge ball.

One of the den leaders brought his 1972 Volkswagon Beetle convertible.

It was in really good condition.

It was Little Lady’s last soccer practice.

We had a parents vs. kids game.

The kids won 2-1.  (the coach was  their goalie)

Although Little Lady did say:

“Dad, I didn’t know you could run that fast!”

(I can run fast, but I can’t run very long)

All of our fine little Daisies bridged into Brownies!

I presented Little Lady her Brownie pin.

It was an outdoor shelter.  There was a misty rain the
whole time.  Luckily the shelter was big enough to hold

The other moms in the troup read some kind words
about our Mom and the hard work she did.

It choked me up.

All of the girls then presented her with a “quilt”
of  pictures patched together.  Each patch was
a picture of one of the girls in the troup.

Very sweet.

After the ceremony, we had a pitch-in and then the
kids played in the rain.

This was part of Little Lady’s end of the year Soccer

This guy did diablo juggling.  He was a former member
of Circe de Solie.

Little Lady loves her trophies.

We went to the Children’s Museum!

They had seven famous paintings rendered using only Jelly Belly
jelly beans!

Mom liked this one.

I liked this one.¬† I can’t image how much it cost
to buy all of these Jelly Bellies!

First we took in a carousel ride!

Riding on the carousel…

Little Lady was ticked because she didn’t get the horse she wanted.

Since Little Lady had climbed before, the Children’s
Museum people said she should try the intermediate wall.

It was not a good idea.

Little Lady is too short for that wall.  She could not make it
to the top and it crushed her.

She cried and cried.

It broke our heart.

Mom bribed Little Man into climbing the wall.  ($2)

He hung with it and made it to the top with 2 minutes to

Little Lady, being a great sport, cheered him on.

Great picture of Little Lady commanding the ball down the field.

(bonus points for getting Mom in the picture as well)

Dad and the kids went out on their first big ride of the year.

They did great!  I was a little worried they would be too wobbly.
(especially Little Man)  But they started and, more importantly, stopped
just fine.
