This is about 7am.  Several other people have already left.  It was so
much fun.  (after sleeping only 5 hours, we are all pooped)

Oh the grass feels so good.

His last touch of the grass…

The kids had fun at camp.  They got soaked on purpose to deal the heat.

With the heat and all of the running around, the kids were pooped.

Aunt J met up with us at Victory Field to watch an Indians game!

It was Scout Camping night at Victory Field

After the game, they shot fireworks.  After the fireworks, they played
a movie on the big screen while the grounds crew worked.

Then everyone setup their tents in the outfield.

Here we are at the “campsite” in right field.

Little Man and I tossed a ball in the outfield.  The grass felt so good.

Little Lady and I watched the end of the movie.
It ended at 1am and she was soooooo tired.

Mom went to Boy Scout Camp.  Here Little Lady ran an obstacle course.
(it was a hot, hot day)

Mom helped out the Scouts with this hammering project.

Unfortunately, one of them hammered Mom’s pinky!

Meet the newest member of our family!

We saved her from the Animal Control Shelter.  She
is getting spayed Tuesday and then we can pick her up!

We are all very excited to take her home.

The kids participate in a program where they read to dogs.

This dog is Roscoe, and he has the biggest, dog tongue…. ever.

Little Lady’s dog only wanted it’s belly rubbed.

After lunch in Bloomington with one of our good friends, we went to
our favorite playground.

Mom is on this freaky spinning thing that gets you totally dizzy.
(the kids love it too)

That’s a three level playground in the back.

I got up early to go on a Father’s Day bike ride.

Bad news: On the way home, I fell off my bike
and skinned my leg, knee and shoulder.

It was the same bicycle jersey that I had my bad
accident.  The shoulder scratches almost match.

Luckily, this time, I figured out how to catch myself
and roll.

Good news: before my crash I saw an uptight bicycle snob.

He didn’t like it that I caught him going uphill.

He didn’t like it that I easily hung with him for the next two miles.

He didn’t like it that I didn’t acknowledge his shinny new bike or
$150 oakley sunglasses.

He didn’t like my 20+ year old dirty road turned commuter bike.

Finally, he didn’t like it that I mentioned how out of shape I was.

He made a turn at the last minute to make sure I wouldn’t follow him.

Aunt J (not seen here) came back from her big trip to Alaska!

While waiting to pick her up from the airport, we went to an
antique store on the west side.

Mom came up with a game, the boys (Dad and Little Man) and
the girls (Mom and Little Lady) each have $1000 of pretend
money to find some new items for the house.

Honestly, we didn’t find much, even with pretend money.

One of the things Mom did find was this stool, which she
wanted to use for a plant stand.

Little Man went to flag football camp all week.  (8:30am-Noon)

On the last day, they had a show for the parents and family to show off
their skills.

Little Man was one of the few boys to catch a long bomb.

Here Little Man, and the other boys, are doing the Lawnmower Dance.

Thursday night, Mom had a great idea… let’s have an ice cream social!

We contacted our friends on Friday and had a party!

Mom is so good.  She had three different kids of ice cream, bananas,
strawberries, sprinkles, nerds, fudge, caramel and even strawberry

While picking up some last minute items, I saw that Marsh had
Mexican Cokes!  It is Coke-a-Cola, in real glass bottles with
REAL SUGAR!  It was soooooooo goooooooood.

It made me and my neighbor feel like we were 6 years old again.

Little Lady and her friend enjoy their delux creations.

These are just a few of the friends that showed up.  More people showed
up after this photo.

Later that night, we played wiffle ball.  First the kids, then the adults
played too!

June 17 GAME DAY!

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

This was Little Lady’s first game!

Most power hitters play first base.  This team was no exception.
They rotated positions every inning.

(Little Lady was the best looking player in a skirt!)

Little Lady smited the ball!  In addition to good platework, she ran the
bases really well.
